Well, once you've had coffee from Little Nicaragua Coffee Company, you'll know just how fresh coffee can get. Mario and Pablo Úbeda - parents to co-owners Nora and David Úbeda, were born and raised in Nicaragua during political unrest. With $20 to their name in 1988, they came to Canada as refugees in search of a peaceful life. Lethbridge gave them that opportunity to grow and raise a family in harmony. Maria comes from a long family history of coffee farming in Nicaragua, and Pablos' father was a coffee and agricultural engineer. Both grew up around coffee plantations in the mountains, which have inspired their business. The coffee sourced is using their farm, lovingly called Finca Escambray.
